Here is a cool project that shows you how to build your own interactive air gates for drone racing with Arduino. These will have lights that change color when their ultrasonic sensor detects your drone getting closer.
In addition to 3D printed parts, you will need a HC-SR04 ultrasonic sensor, Arduino Pro Mini 328, 9V battery, and a couple of other simple parts to complete this.
