Vecna Robotics’ TRS Wins DHL & Dell Robotics Innovation Challenge

Robots are getting quite better at completing tasks autonomously in warehouses and business environments. Vecna Robotics, which is behind innovative robotic material handling autonomous ground vehicles, was recently awarded first place in the DHL & Dell Robotics Mobile Picking Challenge 2017. Its Tote Retrieval System (TRS) not only picks boxes from different levels of the shelf but can place them on an autonomous mobile robot.

The TRS autonomous navigates narrow aisles to place and retrieve items. It can identify items by reading barcodes. More info is available here.
