Meet the HapticDrone: an innovative solution that involves using a drone to provide hatpic, touch, and weight feedback in VR environments. It renders forces in one dimension. It has non-contact hand following mode, in which the drone follows your hand in all directions.

In Contact Mode, the drone applies upward/downward force to represent the stiffness of a virtual object and its weight respectively. The setup was put together with an Oculus VR headset, hand tracking band, drone, and OptiTrack motion capture system.
